CityRail9 is built and intended for use in TRS19 and TRS22. As the route was built originally in T:ANE, it should work but there is no guarantee of compatibility. 

​

If you have CR8 V0.96 for T:ANE or TS19, updating to CR9 V0.97 shouldn't be much of an issue.
