CityRail5 isn't our typical release of a route and do a few updates. CR5 is the start of a mass project to create the best route system ever!

CityRail5 is the starter route to this project, which begins with the Jacksonville terminal and will soon expand out with the addition of several routes. These additions are called "CityRail Connections", and these connections will turn CR5 from a terminal route, to a full fledge route with more than a few hundred mile to run.

The starter route (CityRail5) is available now for download.

Soon, we will begin releasing small updates for CR5, and beginning next year, we will begin releasing the additions to CR5 that'll make it what it was intended to be!

Dependencies are available from JointedRail and the DLS.

Route designed by SAXT in collaboration with PacificTrainz.

Built for Expansion

CityRail5 was built to be expanded from each end. With several yards, an intermodal terminal, and an oil terminal, long trains of different sorts will eventually be able to arrive from multiple points of origin. Plus, with lots of industries, manifest trains bring plenty of switching opportunities.

Different Ways to Play

Intermodal has always been a big part in the CityRail Series. This time is no different, with two intermodal yards for both big and small stack trains, CR5 offers plenty to do in intermodal.

Big Switching

Switching is a big part of CR5. Northside Yard (Shown at left) is a small yard with big switch opportunities. With lots of industries surrounding the area, theres plenty to do at Northside.
