For the eighth generation route, we ensure an experience like no other with the ability to do operate every style of train. Not kidding, EVERYTHING.
With over 250 miles of mainline, yards, branch lines, and industrial lines, there is no end to what can be done on CR8.
With the release coming up, maps and route graphs will be available for download shortly after release to make things a bit easier.
Since the route will be regularly updated and can bring some changes over time, maps and graphs will be updated as such.

Locals like no other
Operating local trains is not only possible, but can be done in so many places on the route. Because of the vastness of the route and it's rail network, locals can be operated at various starting and end points creating a much more travelled feeling. Terminals are set in locations allowing for operating divisions to be far enough and unique to prevent boredom.
commute short or long
Commuter operations on CR8 are a whole different world! Short commutes and long commutes are easily done with main hubs placed strategically on the route. If you simply want to run a short commute that's less than 50 miles, it is easily done. It's a world of trains at your fingertips!
Want to do the long haul commute for the entire route? That's easy to do too!
strategy industries
Simplicity is the goal with CR8, but because of the vastness of the route, we have infused some areas that when switched, take some thought. Users will enjoy having to put some extra time and care when switching some of the hundreds of industries on the route that aren't the simple in and out move.
While many industries are simple to work, there are some that take some planning.
Freight all around
No simple A to B. The route's vastness and various destinations allow for a full on through freight experience. With various subdivisions , freight trains don't need to run just one way, they can run two... or three... or four... or five!
Any freight train is a welcome operation!
